Symon established Leaders Futures in 2018 following a career supporting global clients with leadership advisory and executive search services. He previously spent over 18 years at Russell Reynolds Associates, leading their operations in Europe and South Asia, subsequently moving to New York as Regional Head, USA. His return to London focused on coordinating the CEO and Board Services practice. Earlier in his career he led Prudential's mutual funds business and was MD Consumer Banking at AIB and TSB.
Alongside his commercial activities Symon is active in ‘leading with purpose’. He is Chair of Centrepoint, the UK’s youth homeless charity, a trustee of The Photographers Gallery and an ambassador to Leaders Quest, an international social enterprise.
He holds an MA from the University of Oxford and an MSc from London Business School.
Michael is the former Chief Human Resources Officer for Visa. In this role he was responsible for managing all human resources functions in the organization, including talent management, staffing, compensation and employee relations, as well as developing effective retention, diversity and performance management strategies. Before joining Visa in 2013 Michael was chief talent and rewards officer for HP. Prior to joining HP, he worked in Merrill Lynch’s human resources division in New York and London. Additional experience includes working at Morgan Stanley as managing director of compensation & benefits and as senior consultant at The Segal Company. Michael began his career with NationsBank in Richmond, Virginia. He earned a BBA in Finance from James Madison University and has an MSc in International Employment Relations and Human Resource Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
